ABOUT

My interest in Art has grown since the age of twelve. I began with drawing characters from comics and since then drawing has become an integral part of my life.
I taught myself to use many different art tools, like pens, pencils, markers, watercolor, acrylic color, and oil paints. To be self-taught was not a suitable way for me to study art, but it encouraged and developed my passion for drawing and developed my interest further.
Through drawing more, I learnt about all aspects of art, not just about comic strips and animations. My parents realized that I would receive a more rounded education and more experience in all aspects of art by sending me to study in St'Edmund's College, a cathlioc school in UK when I was fourteen for nearly 5 years. Now I am studying illustration and animation in NAFA( Nanyang Academy of Fine Art), a famous art college in Singapore.
My love for Art continued to develop throughout my GCSE’s, and it was an obvious choice to pursue Art at A Level. I enjoy visiting art galleries and attending exhibitions, by viewing other artists’ works, I am inspired and receive many tips for drawing and ideas for creating my own pieces. In July 2016, a piece of Art I produced was selected to be exhibited in a London Gallery as part of the National Student Art Exhibition; I was happy and proud of my achievement.
I enjoy telling stories throughout art work. It sounds simple but it is very rewarding, because it requires me to attempt many drawing techniques. I always strive to learn and improve my art skills. Art has influenced me a lot, it is ingrained in my life and gives me confidence. To me, art is my language of self-expression and allows me to show my feelings. It is a part of my personality.
